Hello and welcome to Let's Run Facebook Ads, a podcast with myself, Nick Boddington. Here I share insider information about Facebook ads. But as you know, it's not just running the ad, it's what happens after. So we'll look into the funnels e-commerce, email marketing, lead generation and much, much more. Hello everybody. Happy New Year to you all. I hope you had a note a lovely break. So think this is going to be a pretty short one, but a really good little podcast with a little hack on it, which I'm hoping I'm not the only one who does not do this, because since I'm the one who's supposed to have the podcast and be an expert in ads, one of my clients told me something about something yesterday when I was on his ad account, and I felt like I struck gold. So I'm going to tell you guys about it. And some of you probably are going. What? Slapping your forehead thinking is, you know, you just figured this out, but, I'm going to go for it anyway. Hopefully I don't embarrass myself. Firstly, before I do that, I have opened up a school community, the arts clinic, school community where I'm going to be going live once a week, uploading how to videos I'm doing when there's enough members to not to, to actually work, live well, live online drop ins. So for people 4 or 5 people can drop onto a call. Other people can be there to watch you put your names down first, first come, first served. And I'll be online to answer your questions. So if you if you like this, go to, the school, go to school, access s k w l forward, slash the ads clinic and join me there completely free. Just want to give you loads of content written help you with your ads. So back onto this. So basically one of the things that I've been doing well, having me doing, but wanted to do over the last six years of running Facebook ads was do bold text, italic text in my ads. Now I know that obviously we can put emojis in there and things of that. If you're working with an Apple Mac keyboard, it will do the emojis. That's nice and simple, but when I'm writing email copy, I've always I've always looked at it. And so, you know, there are certain words that you bold or you're underlined when you're doing obviously writing your text into into a Facebook ad, Facebook doesn't give you, you know, bold, italic, all these things like you would normally have on a on when you're writing something in another in another platform. So I was on a call yesterday and I was going through someone's ads and I was like, you've got bold text in your in your text box and you're. And he was like, yeah, yeah, I wanted to do it because obviously when we write email, we do it. So I basically googled it to try and figure out how to do it. Now, believe it or not, I've never googled back to figure out how to do it. I just thought, but you can't do it. You never really see it. You see people writing emojis in their in their ads all the time. But you never, you never. I don't ever correct me if I'm wrong, but you really very rarely or if I've never come across it, seen bold or underlined text in an ad. So I was so, he thought innocently. It's just not doing advertising. I'll just go to a website and find it and copy and paste it in. And it worked. So I've now come. This was only yesterday. I've literally started my day writing some copy for people on their ad accounts, or gone into current client ad accounts, and I'm testing out writing keywords that are in the in the text, either underlined or in in capitals or, sorry, not in capitals or in bold text or in italic text. I'm going to test it out, but I know this is going to be a winner because it's just how we write text on headlines. You know, if you go to a landing page, you know, Clickfunnels is mad for it. If you've come across Clickfunnels, you use it. It's all about writing your headline or your bit of text and highlighting certain words or phrases in it, because you want that to stand out to the reader. I'm now going to be doing in every single ad I do. I'm not. I don't even think it needs testing. I think it's just a no brainer. It's going to work. So how do you do this? Are you staring at your ads manager stuck on how to make your ads perform? Come and join the Ads Clinic, a series of one on one consultancy calls where we dive into your own ads manager and see where we can turn your ads into a profit making machine. It all starts with a 30 minute free consultation call. Sign up now at the AD clinic Decom. You need to go to a website called Yay Text. That's why, as in yay text, text as in text I want yay text Scott make it kind of visit. Yay! Isn't that yay Dexcom go there and you basically just have a, you'll have a box where you just put in whatever text you want, and then underneath it, it'll highlight it, it'll underline it. And then down the left hand side you've got everything. You've got the different types of, fonts. You want to use everything. It's awesome. So I'm gonna be doing this going forward. I apologize to the people who are like, oh my God, where have you been? I've been living under a rock sometimes I have. I sit in my office at home and, I said to James the other day, actually, just for Christmas, I'm obviously in my office, I'm running. We obviously we've got the company, but we're all at this remote working, aren't we? We've got our office down the road, which is all really cool, but I find I just get so busy with all my calls, I'm asking their calls and things like that. The, just become I just basically locked myself in my home office, and I'm just I'm just dialed in basically to a laptop, and a phone. Well, laptop. I'm zoom all day, and I quite like it. I quite like getting up. I do my ice bath in the morning, I do my stretching, and then I get on it until the end of the day. My girlfriend thinks it's completely weird. She's got to get out the house and go and see people and do meetings and stuff. And I said to James, for Christmas, I needed my car serviced. So I went online, couldn't get in anywhere. Everyone's like having a laugh. You're not going to get until February. And then I thought, oh, it must be a comparison site. So I tried to find that, and then I kind of found a comparison site with the dates, putting the dates, etc. and I saw mobile servicing. So someone came to my house with the same prices, going to a garage and service my car in the driveway and I text James went and had the car serviced, came to my house, didn't have to leave. Another reason not to leave the house. So I'm actually really sociable person. I love going out for drinks and dinners and stuff like that. Sociable actually. I was really sociable as a youngster. I'm not as much, you know, there's my dad said you can count your real friends on one hand. Yes you can. I love going to restaurants. We love doing all that sort of stuff, going out for the day. But when it comes to the work, I just love being dialed in and just getting on with what I do. Anyway, a little bit of a little bit of a rant on the end there. Try it out. Let's get our ads doing this. I think it's just going to work so well. And hope that helps. Remember, get into the school. So school Lowell forward slash the ad clinic booking is free. See you there.
